As I've often stated, if one believes the 2nd Amendment protects a collective right of the people exercised through government, then one must also believe that the 1st Amendment right of free speech is also a collective right exercised thru National Public Radio.

Very Excellent Point

Well not really, the right of free speech is not spoken of as a "right of the people" in the First amendment, as the RKBA is in the Second. Now the right of assembly and petition are so defined, as is the fourth amendment's right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Maybe the first amendment's right of free speech does only belong to NPR and it's state level equivalents, and the freedom on the press may only belong to the Government Printing Office. However the right to keep and bear arms belongs "to the people". Let the not so free press and the Berkleyites put that in their bongs and smoke it.
