Oh, I realize a lot. I'm trying to bite my tongue. BP is not a military force, however. I am 100% in favor of militarizing the border.

The idea I have had is to create an agency that would be charged with BP-like functions, but with more manpower and capabilities. It would take the BP and turn them into a effectively a military-like organization with 30-40K of them on each border, a small group of 1,000-3,000 federal agents for a corps called something like "the Border and Immigration Police" and an information systems branch that would keep biometrics data on illegals, resident aliens and citizens. That way, a citizen could do a finger print and retina scan and enter unmolested. The name I proposed to some seemed a little ominous: the Internal Security Agency. All three branches plaed under the same agency of course.
