seems like his bruceness is desperately seeking relevancy. he was mediocre at best when he was good, now that he's a has-been he just can't stand being ignored.

I have to respectively disagree. The first time I saw Spingstien was in 74 or 75, just after his "Born to Run" album was released. The Milwaukee auditorium was only a 1/4 full.
