If your a teacher and your school district's administration has some kind of zero-tolerance policy, I believe you would not have made an exception, because you would (maybe) value your job.
The school boards and school administrations are driving the public education system into the ground through such "zero-tolerance" policies, which really have little impact on the bad kids, but do hurt the good kids.
Bring your allergy medicine to school? Whoops, your a druggie.
Bring a G.I. Joe action figure to school? Whoops, your a threat and a terrorist.
Talking on your cell phone? Whoops, your a dealer.
