Ah, here it is at last. OK, let me ask you this -- if I'm a cop and I arrest one of your employees and he's in jail when he's supposed to come to work am I "micromanaging" your business? You're being deprived of your source of labor, isn't it the same thing? Perhaps we shouldn't enforce any laws so that everyone is available to work and no businesses are harmed.
(And by the way, your above sentence reads that honest and productive businesses have micromanaging fetishes. Oh, and further by the way, a business that hires illegal workers is by definition, not "honest.")
But I'll bet it is productive!
