How dare you force me to admit that I didn't read the entire article before posting!
I'm so used to hearing about teachers who will give students passing grades just to get rid of them, that I assumed (you know the old saying regarding that word) that this was the case here.

This particular under achiever had a perfect score on the assignment in question...Doesn't it seem that more and more posters are commenting on stories before actually reading them? It's like they read the headline, maybe the first paragraph and then make up their own story (which is usually a negative one). This is the third time tonight I've witnessed this.

He was also sleeping in class which isn't allowed. It sets a bad example for other students who might not have gotten a perfect score but wanted to sleep also because he was doing it.
