I thought Frank Lloyd Wright already discovered that concrete bends when he built Fallingwaters.

Thanks for the concrete article, I'm a mech engineer but took a few concrete classes. There is a yearly concrete canoe contest at the university.

I bet it bends to the left a whole lot better than it bends to the right, this is afterall, from the people's university of Michigan.

the Curtis Road bridge over M-14 in Ann Arbor

This bridge is about eight miles from where I live. I'll have to go check it out. My driveway is a disaster. There are springs in the area undermining its foundation and I wonder if this would keep it from cracking should we use this to replace it.

So does this mean in the future it won't be a matter of when concrete will crack because it does but when will it bend?

Yes. Transparent aluminum would be quite useful for transporting endangered whales across time and space in poorly concieved sequels. Live long and prosper.
