I know some missionaries who go to Cuba several times a year. They always try to take vitamins and aspirins. They say a lot of the kids show protein-deprivation and vitamin deficiency diseases.
One of them told me he could be universally loved in Cuba if he could bring a shipment of toilet seats into the country. There are no longer any such luxuries to be found. Anywhere.
Oh, I'm sure they've got them in the places they take the fellow traveller/useful idiot tour groups...
