We need a Radio Free Canada, like the Radio Free Europe we had for those that were locked behind the Iron Curtain.

". . . because of satellite radio then they risk going out of business as advertising revenues fall."
If commercial radio went out of business in Canada, who would know? Canadian radio sounds like really bad Sunday night junior college radio in an American state without a major university.

I didn't realize that Canada had so much in common with Communist China.

Same as satellite TV coming from the u.s.(ie. Direct TV). This is so Canadain media companies friendly to the government can license certain feeds at discount prices, charge premium prices, and pocket the difference for basically no work. The government, in turn, gets to decide what channels are allowed...ie. no Fox News, which poisons the mind of the poor, pure, liberal Canadian.

Funny, because Satellite Radio is MADE for Canada!
Long drives, empty spaces, limited choices on the dial...

Hmmmmmmmmm.... this sounds like protectionism to me...
We either get into the free market or we dont.
Half measures just wont cut it. IMHO.

I didn't realize that Canada had so much in common with Communist China. Actually Communist China is much more democratic than Canada. Do you know you have to pay to go to high school in China? Now THAT's anti-socialism.

Do they have Michael Savage? I wonder what Canada would make of him.

What's next step? Confiscate all radios and TVs?
Hitler tried that, Stalin tried that (radio-by-wire - speaker with volume control and 100% "good" programs). It did them in. It's the FREEDOM stupid!!!
