No, not quite. But I do remember Republicans by the millions running over to Ross Perot in 1992, thus help clearing the way for 8 years of Clinton (which quickly gave us a Republican Congress, so some good came out of it). To this day, I'll never understand those people, there was no way to reason with them. So do fear them, and I am convinced that some will go to Hillary (or someone else that will talk tough on illegals), just like they went to Perot, to "send a message"

I don't think they will go to hillary although she will try. And the difference between her and Perot is that Perot didn't have the baggage hillary does.

Agreed. My point was meant to be that if Tancredo gets treated like dirt from the Republican establishment, he could EASILY bolt the party and become the next Perot. Heck, he could probably raise enough money just from FReepers to be a credible presidential candidate.
