"Object" are harmless. Terrorists are what's dangerous.
I think we also need to think about what it is we are expecting from these people--is it reasonable to think that there is any process that will catch anything and anyone that can possibly pose a threat? Is it reasonable to think that we will be screened by rocket scientists when we are willing to pay just a little more than minimum wage? I fly all the time, and for the most part the TSA folks seem to be thorough and courteous (except for Hartsfield in Atlanta, of course). I think this author needs a reality check.
