> Well teach me, oh great master!
Some people cannot be taught.
This is true. Now that I know the truth, I don't think you can convince me of the lie.
> I know the truth
Seems doubtful.
So... just how big of a percentage of my total income do you want me to set aside to keep you alive forever?
The real question is, "How much of my money do you want me to leave you in my will?" If you're going to kill people for their money, be up front about it.
Ninety-Two is a ripe old age.
> If you're going to kill people for their money
Which I'm not. Where in your fevered imagination did you dream *that* gem up?
But please answer the question: how much of *my* money do you want me to cough up to keep you alive forever? In your Communist workers paradise, how many hours of the day will be spent working just to keep alive people who have lived a long, Long, LONG time, and require a constant infusion of cash to keep going?
What the hell are you talking about? I never said I wanted commnunism. You're the one who's advocating killing people so you can spread their resources around.
> You're the one who's advocating killing people ...
That's a lie. That's also all you're good for.
You must be so very, very proud.
Does that mean you've changed your mind?
I didn't say anything about killing innocent people. This was YOUR lie.
The fact is, people die, and sometimes we should LET people die. Whether or not you believe in God, death is an important and *required* part of life.
You refuse to answer the question as to just how much of MY money you want to keep yourself alive as long as possible. Since you apparently see allowing people to die as being the equivalent of outright murder, then this means that in your Communist worldview, no expense should *ever* be spared to use every bit of medical technology available to keep alive every single human body, forever if possible.
What a liar you are. You're such a lousy liar you can't even tell the difference between a lie and the truth. Which isn't surprising, since you can't tell the difference between a natural death and murder. I don't want your money that you worship instead of God. Keep your precious money. Continue to bow down to it. Take it to the grave with you. When you stand to be judged, I'm sure you'll have no problem explaining how on earth money is so much more important than life, or even God. I'm sure you'll come up with a creative excuse for your pitiful attempts to impede efforts to save the lives of vulnerable people. I'm wondering if you'll also need a good excuse for participating in "letting" someone die. It would certainly explain your insistence that there's nothing wrong with it. Why give Grandma antibiotics for a minor infection when you can just "let" her die, and keep her money? I suppose it's possible you're advocating other people doing that to their loved ones, and you wouldn't really do that to anyone yourself. But I doubt it.
The fact that you refuse to face facts and instead resort to nothing but namecalling points out your character quite effectively. Perhaps you'd be happier at DU, with people who believe just like you?
Good day. I'm done with you; you are a waste of time.
This is about freakin' ANTIBIOTICS fercornsake!!! Pills that cost a nickel to make.
Actually, very few people at DU support basic human rights like the right to life. Their excuses vary slightly from yours, but the end result is the same. Death to the useless eaters. They don't like me any better than you do. They don't like anybody who sticks to the truth in spite of pressure to tell pretty little lies. Let me tell you something your mother obviously forgot to mention. Murder is wrong. I'll give you a little while to let the shock of that sink in.
Some people think a nickel is worth more than a life. Even if it's Granny's life we're talking about. It's a sick world.
> Pills that cost a nickel to make.
See Post 54. There's more to it than that.
If the pill won't work, then too bad. But we're talking about denying pills that will work.
> we're talking about denying pills that will work
In this *one* case? Perhaps. As others have pointed out, thought, this article and its stories seem quite suspect.
But the larger discussion has been about whether to keep people alive essentially *forever.* At what point do you recognize that just because you *can* keep a body alive, maybe you shouldn't? "BykerBabe" has demonstrated adequately that there are spooky people who see no limits, that if it were up to them there'd be warehouses full of mindless bodies kept alive at great expense, and that to argue against that is to advocate murder.
And *you* have demonstrated that you will draw the line at a nickel pill that might work.
There you go lying about me again, and without so much as a courtesy ping.
