As near as I can tell, "Dominionism" is the Left's version of the _Protocols of the Elders of Zion_. A big lie used to justify bigotry and irrational hatred.

Is the latter part true? Given the behavior of the '60's radicals I'm curious if today's behavior trumps that period yet. It's possible the attacks were not as co-ordinated in that period making this statement true in a sense.
The Left doesn't like that Christians (for the most part) will not be swayed into moral relative thought, and have no fear in stating their disagreements. The Left doesn't like anyone that doesn't feel beholden to Government, is an absolutist if that belief doesn't suit their own nor lacks Fear of stating the Truth. They don't like the President because he states what he believes no matter the pressure they put on him. They don't like Delay for the same reason.
Apparently, "Religious Right" no longer sounds scary enough, so the Left is upping the ad hominem ante with "Religious Far Right." Soon they'll be warning us of the clear and present danger of the "Ultra-Religious, Reactionary Far Right," and so on.

Do you begin to see a pattern emerging here? Desperate to avoid a debate? Claim it's all a vast religious far-right conspiracy. Unable to stop a legislative initiative or ballot measure? Maintain its success would be a fateful step toward the establishment of a theocracy. Need an excuse for losing 7 of the last 10 presidential elections? Say you were done in by the legions of Jerry Falwell/Pat Robertson/James Dobson, etc. breaching the church/state wall.
Cool. As a member of this feared continguency as a Christian I don't mind accepting credit for their failures. ;-) This insanity will still not help them win however.

The Libs don't want to admit two of the states that went for Kerry supported that ban on homosexual marriage. They keep ignoring the fact that half of their base is supported by traditional blue collar Catholics and minorities that do not support the agenda of the activist gay community.
The left defines "fundamentalist" as a belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Guess what? That definition fits 63 percent of Americans! According to a poll released by Rasmussen Reports on April 21, 63 percent of Americans believe the Bible is literally true and the word of God (24 percent disagree.) While 59 percent of whites share that view, 71 percent of Hispanics and 82 percent of blacks are Bible literalists – a rainbow coalition of fundamentalism. But that won't keep the left from getting bug-eyed and foaming at the mouth over the supposed threat of the "Religious Far Right" frog-marching the nation toward theocracy. Their campaign of historical revisionism has succeeded so well that they've managed to convince themselves that the Founding Fathers were secular humanists – rather than men of deep and abiding faith like Washington, Adams and Madison, who believed our nation could not survive without a moral foundation based on religious truth. Hence, they truly believe that a menorah in a public park or a non-denominational prayer before a high-school football game is not only an egregious violation of the First Amendment but a perilous step on the road to a religious state.

In the past presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee appointed a religion outreach advisor to help the clueless figure out a way to appeal to church-going America. For starters, Democrats and their allies could stop lying about, smearing, and inciting hatred against conservative Christians. Or is that too much to ask?
It's too much to ask. Also, they really don't need a religious "advisor". I can sum up in one word? Two? What they lack that would make all the difference in the World. 1) Tolerance 2) Respect That's it. Lying about being a Christian I find offensive. I don't ask that my representatives be Christians. Yes, when one is I find comfort in it but I do not base my vote on whether they are.
I would consider voting against someone that used God as a prop because they disrespected the constituents ability to exercise tolerance and look past faith to the abilities of the candidate as well as The character of the candidate. Neither is exclusionary to people that do not profess a Faith.

What is it with the left wingnuts and their characterization of Christians? This article refers to us as "shoeless". After Bush's reelection I heard our resident office-lefty refer to us as "toothless", "slackjawed", etc. I would say that a large majority of people in our office is Republican and they are mostly college educated. I really don't know anyone who is toothless or shoeless and certainly not slackjawed. What's the deal with these buzz words? I am aware of more Democrats that fit into this category.

You were right the first time. "A large majority ... is Republican" is correct, since the subject "majority" is singular.
The subject of the sentence is 'majority'. Hence, "a large majority of people in our office IS Republican" would be correct. 'People' is the object of your prepositional phrase.
