The left's hatred for the "religious right" has not much to do with Christianity. They couldn't care less about The Lord Jesus Christ. They hate what is a byproduct of Christian beliefs which spill over even into the vast majority of secularist.

They hate for people to see right from wrong, to know what is decent and acceptable in a moral society, and to know that a life lived without rules is a life of slavery to the evil that seems to be consuming this nation. Moral people get in the way of the left's true desire. The desire to see us all burn in a filthy immoral pit here on earth.

Whereasandsoforth, it sounds like you're saying that a person has to be Christian in order to be moral and that's a dangerous belief. We don't want the U.S. to be a theocracy where one religion's take on the Bible (or other holy documents of your choice) is taken as law. By having a secular government and strong separation from Church and State, religions are protected from each other and we can all "just get along". And keep your religion out of my bedroom, please!
