I seem to recall that the cops returned a naked and screaming boy with a bloody rectum to Jeffrey Dahmer, after Dahmer told the cops the boy was his "lover."
The boy was later served up as Dahmer's lunch.

Two Milwaukee cops were fired for returning the boy to Dahmer. You can imagine that if it was just a gay lover's spat and they had intervened - the Milwaukee Gay community would have raised hell.
