Sounds like another big bureaucracy to me...pensions, benefits, union, etc.
It probably will be but it'll come down to being what's the lesser of two evils: that or massive budget deficits caused by illegal aliens.
Vs. what?....the illegal immigration bureaucracy that's full of social workers, welfare workers, gang intervention units, prison guards, bilingual teachers, emergency room doctors, etc. I would think that given a choice we'd be far better off with a state border patrol agency than all the other nonsense we're paying through the nose for right now.
