Nice touch that they used a cotton gin part to weight the body, eh?
Yeah, that struck me too.

The cemetery Burr Oak is in the south Chicago
sub Alsip,Illinois. That's why the cook county medical
examiner is doing the autopsy.

Note that the black cemetery is in the North. Northerners like to not practice what they preach and omit accuracy when they write in history books.
Here is a link one that got out after conviction:
http://washingtontimes.com/national/20050417-123214-8507r.htm
The meat of the story is this if the link doesn't work:
"Adam M. Zachs was convicted and sentenced to 60 years in prison in 1988 for the murder of Peter Carone. But under Connecticut law at the time, a judge let Zachs out on bail while the case went to appeal. He's been on the run since.
"
This is horrible. But only half as horrible as a mostly black jury acquitting OJ. He savagely killed two people.
Do what ever it takes too solve the crime. I don't understand the "Let the dead rest." argument at all.Murder has no statue of limitations, nor should it. But then again, I'm just that kind of person that wants too find miserable scumbags like this and prosecute them too the full extent of the law, regaurdless of age.

Do you have any idea how many states have such laws? Do the Federal Courts have it?
You and me both. Unknown how many states do as of today.
It is typically only available for non-violent offenders. In Texas any non-capital offense is technically bondable during appeal.
This is a case of judical "nincompoopness".
Yup....and that was only a few years ago. I recall CNN broadcasting footage of black students at Howard University leaping in the air with joy when the verdict was announced.
Actually I think this was worse than what OJ did because it was a kid but I see what you mean about double standards.
Sounds like some butt kissing going on.
Agreed. He was a kid. But he was an aggressive kid who "looked like a man," according to his own grandfather, who laid hands on a small, married woman, and continued being physically, sexually agressive towards her until he was pulled away by his cousins. He didn't just give a "wolf whistle."
At the time that kind of behaviour would be very risky indeed, even for a white kid.
"I hung my head when I read the title of this thread. These types of threads bring out the absolute worst of Free Republic."
Yes they do! However they also bring out some of the best on Free Republic.
There are also Jewish cemetaries.
Both here in Nashville and in my homeplace in Jackson Miss ....I believe off Northwest Street. NYC too as I recall...Miami as well.
I am to be buried in an old cemetary outside Nashville (Statesville) out on a high knob. The old cemetary has a slave section as well. Since there are almost no blacks currently in the area, the segregation issue never comes up.
Nashville and Jackson both have 100% black cemetaries right now which are being filled daily I reckon.
Folks have the right to be buried how they'd like I guess...sot of like the marriage issue. Something tween the dead and their kin.
But if it will make folks happy here. I do hereby request that if the view points home towards Mississippi that I wish that my family plant me in the slave section. That would be fine. I will probably have more in common with old school Southern blacks than i would with newfangled Nashville yuppies anyhow.
Long as I'm pointed SW towards my ancestral home. Somebody plants me facing North and I WILL BE BACK!
Indeed, the evil cotton gin.
First built in New Haven Conneticut by that dastardly Yankee: Eli Whitney.
LOL
There is no mushy middle in the Deep South.
Blacks vote at least 90% Dem.
Whites voted 87% Bush last November in Mississippi. Highest peckerwood % for Dubbers in the country. I'm damned proud of my kin too btw.
That middle is tinier than my dear wife's petite waist.
