Chewbacca is in it. Why is that odd. Don't wookies live hundreds of years? Isn't it reasonable that Chebacca could have been General Kenobi's friend during the clone wars? What's the problem?

The problem is that it's supposed to be a long time ago in a GALAXY far away. Apparently, according to Lucas, there's only about two dozen people in a galaxy. Heaven forbid he actually come up with a new droid or new wookie.
