But Nancy's skit wasn't anything like what Laura said - so it isn't a benchmark for which to compare whether Laura's statements would have been acceptable back then.

Recall that I first asked you what you meant by the presidential pulpit. I brought up Nancy Reagan's skit because it happened over 20 years ago and did poke fun at the President and her husband at a place where you would define as a presidential pulpit.
