I don't want to be the one to break this if no else has noticed yet, but South Park seems to make fun of Republicans a lot, too. Why the haste to claim it as a conservative show?

When they make fun of conservatives, they have a point, they do a good job of it, the Kenny dies/Shaivo episode was brilliant, especially the demon from hell whispering in the Republican Senators ear. If you want to laugh at others, laughing at yourself should be a part of it.

No one is saying the show is conservative. It usually busts on both the left and the right, although the left gets it a bit more.

We simply have a sense of humor and can laugh at ourselves...yet one more thing that separates us from the liberals.

Nobody claims it's a conservative show. Its a libertarian show, really. The creators have been quoted as saying "we hate Republicans, but really f-ing hate Democrats!"

The South Park Republican isn't someone who thinks South Park is this amazing conservative show, it's someone who is a conservative but can enjoy stuff like South Park and still be a conservative.
