Mr. Joe Dugan was one of the greatest Marines that I know and I am very honored to say that I have known him since I first began what I do for our troops, our veterans and our POW/MIA's, six years now. He passed away on Saturday from cancer and another voice for our veterans has been silenced. Here is a wonderful write up that was in our paper:
http://www.pittsburghpostgazette.com/pg/05122/497661.stmAnd a beautiful tribute that is on the Soldiers and Sailors Hall site (make sure you see his portrait on there):

I would also like to ask everyone if they would take a minute to sign Mr. Dugan's guestbook. He has children that are younger than me and I know that it would mean so much to them.

Godspeed Mr. Dugan, you will be missed.
Thanks,
~Nikki~

I'm sorry to bother everyone, but I am going to the funeral home tomorrow and I would love to be able to tell his children to check the guestbook, so they will know that we really do live in a grateful nation. Mr. Dugan, was a great man and one proud Marine.

I hope you will take a minute to sign his guestbook!! Thanks again,
~Nikki~

Done! Thank you for the link.
Mr. Dugan, I know your "welcome home" was glorious...

Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded

Not a bother, this former Army dog will, hopefully, come up with something appropriate and thoughtful.

Psalm 23 for Joseph Dugan Jr., a Marine veteran of Vietnam and the Persian Gulf
1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup Runneth over.
6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
God Bless

The Mansions of the Lord Click the picture for music
To fallen soldiers let us sing Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing Our broken brothers let us bring To the Mansions of the Lord No more bleeding, no more fight No prayers pleading through the night Just divine embrace, eternal light To the Mansions of the Lord. Where no mothers cry and no children weep We will stand and guard though the angels sleep Through the ages safely keep The Mansions of the Lord. |

Thank you Mr. Dugan.
May you rest in a warrior's peace.

May the greatest Marine of all time, LTG Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller be there to greet Mr Dugan upon his arrival into Heaven.
I salute him for doing what he did. It allows me to do what I do now.
