> Why do so many of you keep calling Islam a religion?
Not me. Islam is an ideology bent on world domination.
So-called "moderate" Moslems--the majority?--allow the terrorist war against America to continue.
"My (Pats) apology would be a picture of me - P!$$!ng on the koran!"
And thanks to strict adherence by our society to the constitution, you have the freedom to do that. However you would quickly lose that freedom if we all started being pragmatic about adherence to the rules of the constitution.

If we as a nation fail to recognize that Islam is not merely a religion, but rather a sociopolitical ideology then it will only be to our own peril.
Islam is the antithesis of Democracy and despite our nation's valiant attempt to introduce Democracy to countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq, it will never be able to take root.
You need only open your eyes and see the destruction that is being unleashed on Europe as we speak now ~ what is in store for America is much worse.
The only sociopolitical systems where Islam is able to germinate are either autocratic or theocratic or a combination of the two.
Go Pat Go! :))
I'm sorry, that sort of thinking - treating people as individuals - doesn't seem to be very popular.
Sorry but that post is complete BS. Read all my other posts if you want to know why its BS.
Sorry, I had lost you. My point was that if CAIR and other organiations achieve their goals of converting many, if not all, Americans to Islam, will they not then begin the process of instituting Shari'a law.
I cannot see a Muslim standing up to the Muslim community to protect the Constitution. They are more likely to accept the new form of government because it falls within their faith.
Freedom and democracy fall within the Christian and Jewish faiths. We believe that men and women are born with certain rights as outlined in our founding documents. No one can deny that the foundations of this country are built on the idea of LIMITED government because the founders believed that our citizens would live under the traditional "culture laws".
So back to my point. If Muslims become the majority, will they fight to protect the rights of the minorities and the freedoms guaranteed in the constitution or will they seek to convert the country to a Shari'a based system with the Mullahs in charge? I think the later.
If we don't look down the path and see what ultimately may become of the decisions we make today, we are dooming our chidren to a dangerous future - and they will blame us for not doing anything when the problem could have been resolved without bloodshed and struggle.
(this path comments applies to many issues in our country)
Well if we already lost that freedom, then your right, why bother trying to keep what shred of it is left in tact. Good point
If all Muslims are terrorists like Atta, then all Christians are terrorists like Rudolph. Right?
crickets from the double-standard crowd
Good point
Hrmm okay... Complete BS you say?
I have lived almost twenty years now in a Muslim country, speak the language and have studied Islam in an Islamic University.
I might have a smidgen of an idea of what I am talking about here FRiend.
You might wish to talk to Ali Sina over at FaithFreedom.
