Bizarre deaths seem to be the epigraph for Michael Schiavo’s lawyer George Felos.

The right-to-die crusader seems to have the instincts of a vulture when a dying-with-dignity case becomes available.

According to an August 8, 1995 obituary in the St. Petersburg Times, James G. Felos, the father of George Felos died in "a heart-wrenching way".

In his 73rd year, James G. Felos died as the result of an accident in his own driveway, under the wheels of his wife’s car.

Felos senior died of injuries he received when his wife accidentally hit him with her car, pushed him into the street, then backed over him, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. No charges were filed in the accident, which occurred on a Sunday afternoon, at the Felos family home on Darston Street, in Ridgemoor.

At the time of his accidental death, Mr. Felos was suffering from cancer.

"We’re coping because we’re following the advice he gave us: Celebrate and go on," Marilyn Felos-Shankman, one of two daughters said of her father’s death.

At the time of her father’s death, her parents had been married for 46 years.

"It’s hard for her," Felos-Shankman said of her mother, "because it was an accident."

The way Mr. Felos met his death was shocking to the family. "Felos-Shankman said her father had fought colon and rectal cancer and was experiencing a reoccurrence. "I was expecting a phone call sometime in the future that he was dying of cancer," she said. But "he looked great. He felt great…Then this."

According to the St. Pete’s Time’s obit, "Mr. Felos and his wife, Jean, had moved to Florida in 1974 for "family and sunshine". . . . .

So Felos is so bloodthirsty because he wants to avenge his father's death.

And this, after a recurrence of cancer? Maybe my tinfoil hat is on too tightly, but this looks a little teeny bit suspicious to me!

What a sickening article. It's vaguely politicizing this guy's father's death. Not cool.

Flos probably advised his mother to make it look like an accident.

note this is from socialist rationed medical services Canada.

They need duty to die up there.

Felos is trying to rehab his now cartoon public image. He is a liar and a pervert. (she is beautiful? when terri was emaciated and starving to death.)

How does someone accidentally hit - push into the street and continue to back over a person? I accidentally hit my cat with the car when I was pulling into my driveway and I DEFINITELY felt it and stopped immediately. What gives??

Am I the only one who's peeved by the too-frequent use of the term "heart-wrenching?" I've always been under the impression that the correct term for something emotionally upsetting is "heart-rending," while "gut-wrenching," refers to the physiological response to fear or anxiety.

Wonder if Felos unconsciously hates women?
