I think this is wishful thinking, Chuck. Society is far too pragmatic to morally evolve in this manner [IMHO].

True. The day medical technology made abortion (at least in thr 1st trimester) statistically safer than childbirth was the day it became tolerable to most people. Back in the old days, when the only methods available to induce abortion were dirty and dangerous, it was easy to be against it.
