Bagman Pleads Guilty, Linked to Daley Fund

A former Chicago official admitted Monday that he solicited trucking companies seeking city business to contribute to Mayor Richard Daley's re-election campaign and the 11th Ward Democratic Organization of Daley's brother.

Gerald Wesolowski, a former ranking official in the Water Department, revealed that department employees won promotions and raises for campaigning for Daley, Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) and others................

I agree, ....but it's testimony to Peter Fitzgerald's legacy...successfully getting Patrick Fitzgerald as US Attorney is this midwest cesspool.

I'm waiting for the post"Daley may be a crook and the entire Chicago governmental apparatus totally corrupt, but the city runs okay", kinda like "At least Mussolini ran the trains on time" mentality.

Throw everyone of these Chicago crooks in jail!

Nothing would please me more than to see King Daley frog-marched out of City Hall in handcuffs, blubbering like a baby. The guy is a stain on this city; breaks laws at will, socializes with mobsters; bulldozes an airport, etc. The list goes on and on.

If this guy were a Republican, the newspaper would editorialize daily that he should resign.
