Es scheint, daß der Führer zum Ende kaputt war.

I am truly amazed how long some W.W. II personalities have lived, especially considering how exposed they were to things like combat-stress and other military hazards like asbestos and weird chemicals.

Not to mention that most were chain smokers and had (by today's standards) a very unhealthy diet rich in cholestrol and fat. Anyone that has ever been to Germany will tell you that most of their famous dishes, though delicious, are hardly what you would call "heart healthy"
Although I love both Saurbraten and Jägerschnitzel they are both terrible for you!

According to Dictionary.com's translator:
"It seems that the leader was broken to the end."
To: NCC-1701
Translated literally it means "Show Praise!"

Apparently his last words were: "One day the British Union of University Teachers will carry on my work."

So what they are saying is that Hitler just needed a hug.

(The problem with bad ideas is that they seemed like good ideas at the time.)
To: SteveMcKing
Actually it means "It appears the Führer (leader) was broken (or beaten) at the end"
German is a very funny (and somewhat difficult to learn) language, the order of words is often very different than ours and words can have several meanings, often not all that closely related to each other.

Adolf Hitler (search) was a shaking, graying, weakened manI get like that every time I predict a thousand year Reich and it fails.

It's true.
The Third Reich was only a salad bar away from World Domination.

Hitler was the original antismoking nazi, to tell the truth. Also a strict vegitarian.
Many of the antismoking posters used in the USA are copies of Hitler's propaganda.
But you knew that.

The Goebbels' children, Flegel said, were favorites with Hitler, who drank hot chocolate with them and allowed them to use his bathtub. Yikes! Sounds a bit like Jacko.
