I am more amused by the story. And amused by the assumptions. "spoiled yuppie brats" is not how these people appear. You could have said "dimwitted", "histrionic", "impulsive", but you chose "spoiled yuppie brats".

So what have you got against young people from well to do families? That seems to be the issue. There is about these parts an incredible resentment of the well to do and their children. What is it to you or any of us that well to do people have huge weddings and invite all their friends. If you are a friend, you get invited to a swell party. If not, I guess you seethe. And judge.
