The Marines, while mostly using single-seat "A"s and "C"s, DO fly a twin-seat, interdiction/night-attack version of the "D". However, iirc they've never done an operational deployment on a carrier (they do go aboard occasionally to keep the pilots CarQual'd.)

That's what I recalled, that the Marines flew mostly 'A' & 'C' models -- both single seaters. Appreciate the correction on the 'E' model being a single seater...

They also fly the D model two seater. The Marines don't have any E or F model Super Hornets.
