Ping for comments. Really, am I nuts to be concerned about this?

The left has attacked Christianity for 50 years. Nothing ever changes with these primates. The Bolsheviks started the trend and it continues today, not just there, but in China, U.S. courts, and the Muslim world.

No, you're not nuts to be concerned. As a conservative Christian, I have a little bit different perspective than one might expect. I think the real danger from the demonization of the Christian conservatives by the left is the fact that it is torqueing society. It is building up societal stresses like the stretching of a rubber band or the cocking of a revolver. The largely unjustified villification of conservative Christians is dangerous and unhealthy at face value -- but, at some point, another danger exists in the risk of creating a backlash. An overreaction from Christian conservatives -- especially if triggered by some perceived grave national threat or incident (e.g. terrorism) -- can have severe and unintended consequences. Maybe a case of a self-fulfilling prophecy for the left.
