"An overreaction from Christian conservatives -- especially if triggered by some perceived grave national threat or incident (e.g. terrorism) -- can have severe and unintended consequences. Maybe a case of a self-fulfilling prophecy for the left."

Remember all the hammering and harping about a 'future backlash' against Islam? Our restraint was amazing. Look at the Minutemen and their restraint. But we've already drawn some lines in the sand. We hate the World Criminal Court, which was predicted in the Bible, BTW. Biblical scholars were concerned about the UN since its beginning. Homosexual rights is toast at this point. They may as well live it up while they can. Soon, they will confront a vast majority. And tax-thieves are in danger of extinction.

If the Left goes any further, or if Islam does significant harm in the future, it could get worse.
