That is exactly the point I was going to make. Im just a few years older than you, so maybe we can relate.

I grew up in Houston and everyone we knew had a vegtable garden in their backyard. We had beans, corn, tomatos, cucumbers, okra - all that you can imagine. There was also a farmer's market where people would go on the weekends and sell what surplus they had.

You don't see much of this anymore. Most of today's young people think vegtables come from the grocery store.

>>Besides being outright discriminatory, opponents argue, it would violate Mexicans' constitutional right of unrestricted movement throughout the country.<<

The correct answer to the above lie:

>> Sen. Jeffrey Jones, from the border state of Chihuahua and chairman of the border affairs committee, because officers wouldn't stop Mexicans from freely moving about the country — just from illegally crossing into the United States.<<

Well said Senator Jones. It's about time to hear some opposition to Vicente's lies although the corrupt Fox "toned" the opposition down like in the good ol' communist countries.

"Only a far-reaching immigration pact between Fox and President Bush could solve the immigration dilemma, he noted."

I still have hope that W will see the light on this travesty...the MMP has shown that where there is a will, there is a way. Peacefully. Legally.

Only a far-reaching immigration pact between Fox and President Bush an electrified fence or armed military personnel on the border could solve the illegal immigration dilemma, he noted.

All we have to do is allow American citizens to pick etc. and although we will pay more for tomatoes, we will save much more by not having to pay for the welfare and social services the illegals are costing us.

His bill is meant solely to curb the rising migrant death toll, which reached a record-high of 369 last year, he said.

Only 369!? I doubt Fox would bat an eyelash. There are a lot more to take their place.

I am sure that FOX has already told BUSH that Mexico is in serious danger of going Comunist. The real threat is for Bush to tell the American populace that the reason he is allowing this insane immigration policy to continue is because we are supposedly threatened by our neighbors to the south. All he has to do is call on his armed cititizens in the border regions. We will stand solid against invasion. Mr. Bush if you are watching "I Promise" We can and will sustain a vigilance on the border. American pinky finger promise. Now you keep your promise "oath of office".

You tell some of these college kids that they can make $100 a day picking veggies or fruit and they will go to work.Problem is the slave traders will not tolerate that. I confront my party on this issue. MR BUSH are you paying attention. I would rather pay our young people a semi working wage than immigrate some more peons. PAY ATTN.

"What is it about a border that these idiots don't understand?"

It's a border between Southern and Northern Mexico down here and they've been crossing it for generations!

Perhaps we could pay Al-Quaeda to go South through the border to speed things up.
