I don't live in California, but from what I hear about the budget deficits...and the liberal policies, it is costing a fortune and is backed by Sacremento.

You're right on about that. I'm a "refugee," escaping out of there in '92. Long time CA residents and natives have been betrayed by their "elected" officials for few a decades now.

(I put "elected" in "" noting B-1 Bob Dornan's loss to Loretta Sanchez in '92, due to suspected voter fraud that invaded Santa Ana district).

The state has turned into Socialist Central, completely turning the state around 180 degrees, since Reagan left office as Gov.

I hope our good underground Conservatives there can revolt, and save California. It truly is a beautiful state. But as long as the liberal/socialist/Marxist scourge in Sacramento is in charge, all we on the outside can do is cheer the locals on, to take it all back, and get the riff raff out.

My in-laws live in San Diego, CA, and both work for the school system. It is true that kids from Mexico go to CA schools claiming a relatives CA address. I was told these addresses are supposed to be checked, but either they are not or it is not enforced.

Its absolutely incredible that the lawmakers would let the state go completely broke while "they fiddle while CA burns" so to speak.

Unfortunately the fires have spread across the whole country. Open borders is more than just an issue of allowing possible terrorist in undetected. I posted a story today that occurred here on Monday. A semi-truck was stopped for having a light out and suspicious behavior. It was carrying 2 pallets of compressed marijuana that had to be removed with a forklift. I heard on the radio today the names of the arrested driver and passenger -- they have Hispanic names.

Change the geography just a bit and stick one of Jefferson Davis' fan club in the dialogue.....

Folks would be going ballistic.

Something like, "your channel, your town."

Understood.

I hope we can get some agreement on the lay of the land in 2005, if not 1861. I didn't mean to stir the pot. :)
