Go Air India!
Airbus is such a sore loser! Face it, Airbus, Boeing has the better planes. Your days of political begging and bribery are coming to an end.
Ah, the French. Nothing like insulting a multi-billion dollar customer. Boeing is blessed by who they have for enemies.
Why is it that Airbust reminds me of the dimocrats during the Florida recounts?
Just wait till some obscure EU cvommission weighs in and declares Air India out of complinace and thus unable to land inside Europe. Freakin socialist crybabies
Airbus--the "progressive" airplane of choice of Democrats everywhere!
It wouldn't come as a surprise. The threats the EU made against Boeing when they purchased McDonnell Douglas were totally insane.
"Why is it that Airbust reminds me of the dimocrats during the Florida recounts?"
They're on the same side.
Socialist EU will be dismantled in the next fifteen years.
The 787 is currently under development, the A350 is still in the planning stage, why would any airline want to stake their future on what software companies call "vaporware"? Air India was smart not to let them present an aircraft that is currently only at the drawing board stage.
Oh whaaagh, Airbus. Get over yourselves and get crackin' on a better presentation next time!
Way to go Boeing!
I assume some graft connection didn't go off properly here, and now the 2 parties are fighting it out in public.
"The decision was taken in favor of Boeing after detailed examination of the recommendations of the in-house techno-economic committee appointed for examining the bids."
Crybaby Airbus. This arrogance is typical of the socialistic superiority complex. Weve all seen this a thousand times from our own left wing liberal democrats.
It's called economics stupid. Who the hell wants to make extra docking space, expand runways, build larger terminals and subject airports and passengers (already slowed down by extra security measures) to have to wait for 600-800 people to board and exit such a huge plane?
The Boeing doesn't need any special airport accommodations and can fly farther and more efficiently. Plus with its moderate size can load and exit much faster, meaning more flights due to less waiting. It also has
Can't fault India for doing what's in its best interests.
I think Airbus uses "we are not american" as their major selling point.
In all seriousness, accomodating the customer requirements would only make sense. how does airbus make such a HUGE mistake?
It is almost like Airbus wants them to adopt an airbus designed process. (is the seller socialist? is the seller french? is the seller not american? did you bribe eu officials?)
airbusux. panzy, eurofemme, socialist crybaby scumbag pussy rule-changing squirms.
Please, this is so bogus. If the Indians were really into kissing US butt, would their airforce be stocked with the latest SOVIET hardware? I think not... They buy what they think is best for them.
The real issue is that Airbus for some time has been relying on government subsidies and to discount their planes. This made sense for carriers who could buy Airbus products effectively below the cost of the planes. Boeing has sharpened its operation and gotten aggressive in sales efforts. Ultimately the EU business culture will find it hard to compete with a truly aggressive Boeing.
It seems to be working. Boeing has 193 orders for the 787 so far with options for another 106 from its customers. This makes the 787 the fastest-ever selling Boeing airliner upon launch.
