I suspect that some of feminist, anti-male attitudes of that establishment have rubbed off on Laura, and she was out to impress that crowd --at the expense of her husband.

She probably didn't give a sh!t that Jane Fonda was in the crowd. The feminists wouldn't be impressed with a first lady unless it was someone as evil as Hillary.

Then why was she pandering to them? Did you notice the applause when the little lady took the podium away from her husband? It was a performance tailor made to fit the feminist game plan: that even conservative republicans don't dare preach the New Testament truth that women are to be submissive to their husbands.

Wasn't talking about the Jane Fonda. Was talking about the public-school-teacher crowd with whom Laura still apparently strongly identifies.
