If you're anywhere near PA we can discuss it at length.
My comment stands.

Did this guy, whoever he is, complain about Whoopie Goldberg's remarks? I didn't think so.

Right. And I'm sure they'll turn down Larry Flynt's money and assistance next time they want to try to smear a Republican candidate. Corn's a Larry Flynt Democrat. He belongs on the Lester the Molester page.

As I was hotly pounding my keyboard, I looked up and saw the little notecard I saved when I put away my beloved Hubie's computer (took two years after he died to be able to do it)--and am still laughing.

The service ended upruptly when Mrs. Smith, seated in the third pew, discovered her oxygen had been ignited by a passing acolyte.

Now--flame away!!

"..Only a whore would talk this way in public."

And the more you talk "in public" the more of a self-righteous fool you appear to be.

That old joke is anything but.....it's a joke poking fun at "cityslickers" knowing nothing about animals....PERIOD.

Oh, of course it was.

That's why it was told to that famous group of hardbitten ranchers - the effete Washington press corps.

And that's why they found it so funny, because they are true connoisseurs of agricultural humor.

I don't mind ol Bill. His voice nearly causes me to doze off in the morning though. So I have to switch the station every so often to avoid being a traffic hazard.

Mrs. Bush always jokes about the Pres "pretending" to be a rancher, she often teases him about being a "pick-up truck cowboy".

Well, evidently some of these posters go to some denomination that likes to make mountains out of mole hills. :-)

It's amazing. So many Freepers seem to be Shakers and Snake Handlers straight out of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Of course, of course, wise one.

Every FReeper should be a mindless follower of the latest fashion.

That's what being a conservative is all about, right?

The joke about Chippendales was hilarious (what a mental picture). Some people here on FR need to lighten up bigtime.

I heard Bill Bennett hand wringing this morning about it. Hey Bill, get over yourself!

If Bennett ever got over himself he'd have nothing left to say.

She made the other side sit up and look at Laura Bush in a way they never imagined.

I wouldn't even be surprised if she snuck off to the stacks a time or two and read a naughty book. ;o)

Ah, my anal nit-picker friend. I'm wasting more time on this than it deserves. The element of degree matters. That's why there is a different sentence given for stealing a million dollars versus stealing five dollars. Even mentioning Whoopi Goldberg in the same sentence with Laura Bush is utterly ridiculous. Laura's remarks were fairly tame. The liberals are trying to find any wedge issue they can and you fell into the trap.

Exactly the sentiment I've been trying to express.

"Well, let's see. What happens when you milk a male horse?

I'm sure the outcome isn't for invitro."

Psst. The horse would have been a gelding, 90%+ odds of that.

Besides, I guess my mind isn't dirty enough. When I read this joke, I imagined W. taking the gelding to a barn, tying the reins, squatting down on a milking stool, reaching up, and saying, "Whoops! Sorry, there bud!"

I see the usual suspects have shown up to bash Christians. While I did watch the show and laughed out loud, I must say that if Hillary or any Dem. wife of the Pres., had said some of the things Laura said, many of us would be saying things like, "typical Dem. behavior, trashy, etc...". Even some of the usual suspects who like to bash Christians.

I have no problem with people disagreeing about the show. Some will like it, (I know Hollywood loved it!!), some won't like it. But I get so sick and tired of the Christian bashing.
