Do they think PBS is encroaching on their turf???
To: gopwinsin04
PBS must REALLY be biased to the left, if even the NYT thinks so.

I'll wait for updates to this story. I don't bother with DrudgeReport anymore, they like spyware.

Drudge doesn't say "chairman" of what. I suspect it may be the chairman of PBS? I can't imagine Pinch Sulzberger ever uttering such a complaint.

I can't make sense of the headline.

Drudge doesn't say "chairman" of what. I suspect it may be the chairman of PBS? I suspect that it is the chairman of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting - which funds NPR and PBS. Seems that this story was floating around yesterday or Friday.

Good point...the dash implies the chairman of the PBS board or something.
Not the NY Times chairman.

Leftist bias at PBS?
You jest!
All Americans are very curious about healthcare in Cuba-so PBS and NPR cover it every week.
No bias there-move along.

I think it means this: Drudge is reporting that the New York Times is reporting that the Chairman of one of the numerous shell organizations that were set up to allow Public Broadcasting to make the (absolutely laughable unless you are a liberal with an IQ of less than 76) claim that they are independant... that this chairman has reached the conclusion that PBS is biased. This is a horror on the order of, oh, say, an undergraduate at Penn shouting out his dorm window at a bunch of rallying minority students the words
water buffalo which will rate continuous front-page coverage and hand-wringing for the next four months. Or until the Empire State Building is knocked down by terrorists, which will be George Bush's fault.
