From Brent Colbert's blog:

How can you have an" Agreement in Principal" with a party that has none?

Can someone please tell EKOS and the Star that the only political party in Canada that has made any deals is the Liberal party in the desperate attempt to cling to power. Damian Brooks makes an interesting point that Martin is so foolish that he made a deal with a party that can’t keep him in power. A deal that has already impacted the value of our dollar and will end up costing Canadian taxpayers billions.

The Conservative Party has not made any deal with the BQ, Period. They are doing what we believe is in the best interest of the country and putting forward a non-confidence motion. If the BQ and the independents wish to vote with the Conservatives on this motion, so be it, but there have been no “Agreements in Principal” just a normal parliamentary process that a majority of the democratically elected MP’s will vote to accept for what ever reasons they have.

I would say that given the opportunity the majority of Canadians including the supporters of the NDP would vote to say that we have lost confidence in Paul Martin and the Liberals and come this June we may very well have that chance.

I for one just can’t wait for the Chuck Guite testimony next week!
