There is a problem. A wind farm in WV is currently the focus of a study which has found large numbers of bats being killed by the wind turbines.

The first question would be are they endangered bats? Second I would ask if the numbers killed are having a real impact on the bat population. I would also ask if there is a way to drive the bats away from the turbines.

Sounds more like the bat population has rabies or some other disease if they're flying into things.

Over time, the intelligence of the surviving bat population will increase. Smart bats don't fly into winmills.

So it is a good thing. Electricity and smarter bats.
