Motorcycle menace was would be cop
A motorcycle menace who led traffic patrols on a series of madcap chases in Florida turned out to be a would-be cop.
The 24-year-old was just days away from taking his final physical exam when police finally caught up with him.
He was arrested at his home after officers tallied him at speeds of up to 140mph off the Florida Turnpike.
He hid the bike in his bedroom along with his Florida Highway Patrol application form.
When police arrived he pretended to be washing his car, but his dog jumped at the window knocking away a blind and investigating officers saw the motorbike inside.
"He's playing a game, and there's no winners in that game. And it ended the best way it could've possibly ended," Sgt. Al Reyes told NBC6 TV.
The man has been charged with three counts of aggravated fleeing, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and one count of reckless driving.
FHP spokesman Lt. Julio Pajon added there was no point in him taking his physical exam. "We told him, don't bother showing up. Getting arrested is an automatic disqualifier."
Ronald Reagan Turnpike.
That's a real bad idea as they would likely procreate.
Well, I almost wouldn't mind paying a toll for a road named after RR...
If he had been a cop this would have been covered up very quick.
Well, the guy has demonstrated high level vehicular control skills, which is very good. Now he needs to show good proficiency in marksmanship from a bike at 130-140mph.
What meathead. If he had just waited a few more days, he could have done it with impunity.

I'm guessing there's a home for this guy in the CAP.
Truer words were never written.
YES! The Turbpike down here in Miami is called "The Ronald Reagan Turpike" and I love it.
Did the liberals whine about it much (of course they did!)? I lived in the DC area when they renamed the National airport (I forget it's original title) to Reagan International...
