Many men think those milk containers belong to them and view same as sex objects only. I've seen instances in my own network of acquaintences where the men refused to allow the women to breast feed the babies and the women were ignorant enough to actually acquiese. Some of the emerging third world (read: backward) cultures shy away from breast feeding because they fear it makes them look..., well third world!. This is true in some parts of the rural US as well, where smoking is analogous to breathing. Make'm sick, use my tax money for WIC so the parents can afford tobacco, and don't breast feed them to ensure that they remain unhealthy to use more of my tax money to try to get them well. Go figure.
When my wife was breastfeeding, when it became necessary to do so in public, I would put my arm around them both and stare down any disaproving looks.
If the scene is so objectionable, then why do some try so hard to see what is going on?

You sound like a wonderful dad and husband.

LOL Great point! So they can whine, I guess. Some people just aren't happy unless they are complaining about something.
You sound like a good man. I bet your wife is a happy lady.

You and me both. No one messed with my wife while she was discretely breastfeeding.

A paranoid husband (I assume in this day of same sex marraiges) holding onto his breast baring wife is a show that would take supremem will power to not stare at.
#19 - Well said.
We have five older children and Mrs SLB nursed each of them. Sometimes in public and sometimes not. If the guard or manager did not like it they might trying finding another line of employment.
The ones complaining about public breastfeeding probably have no problem with women dressed in such a manner that their breasts are clearly exposed but covered enough not to be "indecent exposure".
