I could vote for him no problem. It's been ten years. Nobody remembers. The dim shill media never forgets. But, the Pubby majority in congress are belong to him and no one else. The big problem in '08 is the same as '88 and '92 too many Pubby candidates not obeying the 11th commandment. Ripping each other to shreds splitting the party, while St. Hitlery enjoys coronation. Newt is a brilliant campaign strategist, he maybe able to at least win the nomination. Frankly I can't see anyone who can beat Hill , maybe a dark-horse like Sam Brownback. The man exudes integrity.

The problem is, the MSM will never let the American people forget the ethics problems. Newt is a Republican not a Democrap!

I could vote for him too, however, what if former California Governor Pete Wilson was running? Who would you vote for?

Which is why he will never have my support. I heard him making disparaging remarks about PRESIDENT Bush several times on radio/tv even before the inauguration, IIRC. Turned me right off.

I lived in Newt's district and voted for him. That said, the story goes that his second wife's divorce papers arrived just before she went into surgery for cancer. Good timing, clown. True or not, I'll bet you see that in the funny papers.

Newt didn't quit 'cause of the "scandal," he quit 'cause his district was not going vote for him again. He was going to lose the primary or be beaten by a Democrat in the election. I wasn't going to vote for him.

The short of it is that Newt's baggage with conservatives is MUCH heavier than Hillary!'s baggage will be with left and the "moderates." The guy is off his meds if tries to run for president. Nobody with two divorces is qualified to be President - he can't run his own house, so how can he run the country? I won't vote for him...
