The nanny shows on TV are disturbing trends in American culture today.

Since I've never seen these nanny shows I don't understand this refrence. What are they and what do they show?

I've only watched them a couple of times. One is named "Super Nanny", I think on ABC. The other I believe is a copycat on NBC. You'll need to look in the TV lineup during the week to find them. They are the latest in reality TV. They show dysfunctional family life in suburbia. The children run the family into insanity and a Brit nanny saves the day. All in 1 hr.

They are very disturbing to watch. These kids are growing up to be ax murderers, literally. The parents are absolutely clueless and just watch as the kids destroy their house and their family. It clearly shows the results of a non-spank culture. Of course the nanny's don't allow spanking either, but you shouldn't have to at their ages. If you are 9-10 yrs old and cutting the furniture cushions and drawing on the walls with crayon, It's waaaaayyy out of control.
