Wow, cap, teddy bear, blanket and ride in a police car.
I don't believe for a minute she didn't know she wasn't national news.
Why else alter her appearance unless she thought she would be recognizable outside of Duluth?
The authorities need to get tough on this self-absorbed drama queeen instead of showering her with gifts and excuses.
Sometimes it gets out of control, other times its not a big thing. I look at this way. We probably wouldn't behave the way we (as in all of us at one time or another) do with strangers, but families and close friends do argue and most of the time it passes and all is ok. I look at it that way here at FR. A big family that some has arguement between its family members.
And JR's home here on the web has a big front porch for all the crazies. ;)
All right, I have to ask. Do you know if ettiquette is different for the north than the south? Do you know if it it is standard for a bride to be given a year to send out thank you, or was that only in cases where they used to go on year long cruises, way back when?
Well, you have a year to give a gift and supposedly a year to send the thank you but my daughters thank youed within a few days. I used to have a rule from my Mother which I think she got from hers, etc. The sun never sets on a gift without the thank you going out. I am surprised at how many girls do not send notes,,it sort of shocks me.

I know this is late - but congratulations on your intuition.
So outrageous that she caused her fiance, parents and friends such stress.

I'm going back through the thread and congratulating all the FReepers who had good instincts.
Congrats!

Good for you Pissant! You called it - now you get to ride shotgun;)

Thanks. I'm just old and jaded, I guess....
I know what you mean. I feel the thank you should be sent asap. To let a year go is rude imho. I think by the time a year has gone by that the sender has already the recipient ungrateful. imho.
Right. The sun should never set on a gift with the exception of the honeymoon but one of my daughters wrote her thank yous on the honeymoon!! I was so proud.
