I am a bit inclined to cut her some slack.

Not much mind you, for what she put her parents and friends through, but a bit,

When I watched the coverage, in my mind, the groom-to-be did not look like a guy trying to hide anything.

They think she was abducted!

Well, I think she is a nut case. That guy is a fool is he still wants to marry her.

Move on dude. There's got to be a sane chick out there you somewhere.

Do you 'regional ladies' really think they'll go ahead with it, sooner or later ?

Not if he has a brain left in his head! I don't know how all of her family and friends missed Jennifer's "problem". She didn't just wake up one morning and turn so self centered.

My guess, and I posted this earlier, is she's been cashing wedding gift checks...from people who can't attend the wedding...

I understand, but if you remember correctly, before we knew she was safe, there were those here who were mad because he WASN'T emotional. You never know how you would act in extraordinary circumstances until you are faced with them.

The speculations made in that case were based in truth from the beginning. The speculations in this case were based on nothing more than air.

I was in attendance on the Rathergate threads. There was a great deal of speculation (educated guessing and assessments) going on there as well. Just like on this thread, as occurs on many breaking news FR threads. Speculation, discussion, facts, ideas, humor, wrangling, etc. This is what makes FR great.

I thank God that the woman is alive and safe. The would have been groom should thank God that he discovered his bride to have been is goofey before the wedding.

Let me say it this way, Southerners would not let it be done in public.

Another BS! Mine would walk out in PUBLIC and tell me to get home the best way I could and to get the damn blanket off of my head.

BTW, that is one skinny chick. I just saw her again with the blanket, sweat suit and sweat shirt on. With all of that on and she still has bones sticking out. She is SKINNY!

I was wondering if they gave her one of Dr. Laura's My Stuff bags.

That's what I was thinking about. The Florida Highway Patrol has a Care Bear program for the kids.

YOu nailed the wedding. Except, right now, a lovely single bridesmaid is comforting the erstwhile groom and giving him sympathy cooing "How could she, how could she, you poor dear!"

I wonder what the bride's sorority was. I will bet it is Tri Delt although Kappas are known to do this kind of thing.

"This is the stuff legends are made of."

And look at that photo of her being led through the airport.

This is a high pop-culture moment we're witnessing. (I can't stand to witness this any more squarely than that.) It's almost going to be a sacrifice to the gods now, for the frivolousness of our culture, (especially our cable news culture). She embarrassed several million people, not just the 600 wedding guests.

CNN already has a virtual documentary, and she's not even home yet.

The most interesting comment I've come across so far is that people will actually turn away from this story, instead of becoming obsessed. It's almost too human (unless it turns out she's genuinely retarded or psycho, that is).

Maybe everyone will let their hair down now. Thinking, well, I can't make such a fool of myself as that girl.

[But I agree, she should be kissed, and often, and by someone who knows how!]

Is someone taking names of volunteers?

I'll let you know after I determine the net of book and movie rights less cost of lifetime psychiatric care.

I think the hairdresser found out about FR, because she was kind of defensive when she started about speaking out about this---

Somebody must have told her, but then John Kasich tells her she has a future in television, and now SHE will become the town's Drama Queen.......

If this isn't the quintessential wake up call, at least for her, the girl's gonna wind up in the left field bleachers, sooner rather than later

Wake up call oh no they are making up excuses as we speak as a family. Poor little dear, it was so much stress 8 showers in 2 weeks, so much to do it was just too much for her small frail self. Oh GOD bless her heart she just wanting to get married and this is all to much. Now feed her a Big Mac with chocolate candy at will and all will be right with the world.

I heard it said one time that in the south we are not ashamed of our crazy people. We put them right out on the front porch for everyone to see.
