(CNSNews.com) -- Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) Wednesday called on Democrats to limit their debate on President Bush's judicial nominees to 100 hours and then to guarantee confirmation votes on the nominees. In exchange, Frist said he would not change Senate rules on filibusters.

I believe it IS "breaking", as many of us thought Frist would cave in to the Pressure from the LEFT

It is a bone to the Democrats. It is not "caving." They will lose the vote, and the "100 hours" is nothing but their limited opportunity to whiiiiiiiiine. The judges will then have an Up or Down vote.

Everyone---this is all about the future of the Supreme Court---in case anyone missed the real purpose for the Democrat's tantrum as of late here.

I agree with you.. Many of us thought Frist did not have the guts to do this.. But why should we limit it to "JUDICIAL" nominees? How about ALL nominees (ie Bolton)

Bolton is already confirmed. Vonovich has been brought back from the la la land he was in by 10,000 e-mails and letters a day from angry Republicans. His staff is at their wits end----the never anticipated this.

The real battle is here--at the judges level. That is why the MSM and the Democrats went nuts.

To: davidosborne; All

When is someone going to have the cajones [balls] to stand up and say something to the effect that:

HEY, CITIZENS--THE DIMRATS ARE SPOILED BRATS FURIOUS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE MORE POWER THAN THEY DO. So, they are pulling out all the stops manipulating every shred of power they can every way they can and rationalizing it to hell and back.

They don't deserve power. They are selfish brats only interested in their own power instead of the people's good. The people voted GOP last time. The DIMRATS have held monopolistic power over congress and the nation numerous times. They never give much less in a fair give and take. They only take and take and take.

They take your tax money and spend it like water. They take all the power they can manipulate out of the electorate then whine and scream for more.

Citizens--let them know--their socialist/communist screaming and wining belongs in Cuba with Castro and no longer on American soil.

Enough already yet!

I would love to see the Democrats take ALL 100 HOURS to make themselves look foolish, and then LOSE the vote on the fine judges that President Bush has nominated.

That would be lovely.

Perhaps some clever bloke could make a short video . . .

of every DIMRAT pontificating just pouring out endless streams of horse biscuits from their gaping flapping mouths piling up in the Senate chamber.

Traitorous idiots.

There is so much more that I'd like to add to this post. But I just don't have the time.

When the RATS are the majority again, which they will be sooner or later, they'll change the rules as they see fit and the MSM will be silent or cheering like hell in approval. Simple eh?

Well, some of us seasoned FReepers observe the tone and tenure of dialogue and remarks here for a year or two before we make strident remarks.

Cheers.

WOW!!!

Only 100 hours!!!

What a TOUGH guy Frist is!!!

A simpering wimp.

I hope he has plans to run for President. He;s in the Giuliani-Chaffee-McCain-Snowe club in my book.

"What a wimp. Just do it."

I could not agree more. I heard Frist on the Laura Ingraham show this week. What a wishy washy politico. No straight answers. Sounded like a panty waist that wanted to talk tough but not do anything.

The Repubs have forgotten who gave them the majority. They're not there because of their good looks. They are there because we voted them in and expect them to actually get something done.
