BANGKOK, Apr 29 (TNA) - Tourists arriving on Thailand's southern resort island of Pha-ngan are to be issued with stickers stating the island's ban on 'free sex', following government concern over visitors having sexual intercourse in public places.
The decision follows pleas by Khon Kaen Senator Rabiabrat Pongpanit to prevent tourists on the island having sex in public after the island's notorious Full Moon parties.
Today Mr. Pramoth Supyen, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)'s Southern Office Region 5, warned that although it would be difficult to ban the parties, which were an important source of revenue for the island, the police would put a halt to them if they were alerted to tourists having sex in public places.
Noting that tourists should be aware that Thailand is not a place to have public sexual intercourse, he warned that tourists having free sex could be arrested.
The TAT will inform tourists that public sex is banned under the Thai law by issuing stickers and leaflets to residents of the island's hotels and guesthouses outlining the legal position. (TNA)--E006
And the legal position is???
I can't help it. That's just funny!!!
Anyone know where I can get some of these stickers without traveling down south? Another perfect Thailand souvenir to sell on Ebay.
I am off to Sangklaburi for a few days. Enjoy.
The legal position is if you want sex, you have to pay for it just like everyone else. LOL!
Yeah, they're missin' out on their tax revenues there. Ha!
Notice the liberal apologists for terrorism never put this on their "Why They Hate Us" list.
Sex is NEVER free, guys. One way or thother you pay for it.
:o)
There is no such thing as "free sex". Its just accounting differences.
Referencing the Kama Sutra????
Law & Order Episode:
Detectives Lennie Briscoe and Mike Logan are investigating the death of a hooker. Logan is looking at the body and says to Briscoe "did you ever pay for it Lennie?"
Lennie says "I was married wasn't I?"
PRICELESS.
Free sex? I wished I had known about that in 1967.
Sex is NEVER free, guys. One way or thother you pay for it.
:o)
ahem, Tom?
One of the funniest things I have ever heard was a man who was twice divorced and paying child support to two women while living a lifestyle of poverty as a single man, bragging that he had "never paid for a piece in my life".
I wonder if God is contemplating another tsunami right now...
That's tasty Oarnge Dusting POwder...
Funny how both you guys honed in on marriage. Been down that road, eh? If so, spare me details...theres enough pain and suffering on this Board. :o)
ahem, Tom?
But if you must disapprove, in deference to my namesake ...
thats Sir Tom if you please. :o)
ahem, SIR Tom?
I wonder if his problem is the idea of "free?" The Issan mafia of course want to see the money flowing from it. Either way though, it would be nice to see things become more family friendly in Muang Thai.
