She didn't have to do too much "training." Looks to me like the turkey is mounting her. Blech!
Oh, why'd you have to go and say that !? Now it's worse!
We live in the Black Hills, about 10 miles south of Rapid City, SD. We have wild turkeys (about 60 to 75) that show up in our back yard twice a day. Every morning, I walk to the mailbox which is about 1/3 of a mile from our house. The same turkey has followed me every day for the past three years. I know it is the same one because "Chester" has a broken right leg. I find it rather amazing that he shows up the same time every morning to follow me. The dried corn in my pocket might have something to do with it. I'm surprised that he is still alive, with his handicap. We are having a bad mountain lion problem here......and he has survived them for some reason. The big cats seem to follow the turkeys and the deer.
Please put me on your Marburg/Ebola "ping" list. That frightens far more than the mountain lions.
