this measure of course was introduced after 2pm when the legislators returned from their "lunch"...drunk again - Isn't it time to require drug and alcohol testing of the pols? Or is that just for the little people?

It's great to see the State Legislators are working so hard solving the really tough problems our state faces.... (not).

Assembly Speaker Pro Tem Leland Yee (D-San Francisco) said passage of AB 866 moves California "one step closer to ending anti-gay rhetoric in political campaigns.

No way in hell will it end it. San Francisco Demon-rat, any suprise?. You cannot get any lower than that, on the California political totem-pole. The very bottom of the deepest liberal swamp.

I think this state has pretty well had it...

It's simply amazing to watch Mexico deconstruct into such a pile of Namblaesque nonsense.

Will this mean that I will no longer be able to post on the California-based website Free Republic the words "queer mafia." ?

How about "homosexual PC Nazis"?

I take it "democrat party butt-boys" is definely out, with the new speech regulation law.

Normalphobic speech and behavior is, of course, still OK and, in fact, will begin to be emphasized as part of the pervert/deviant agenda campaign. When are they going to find a cure for this terrible disease?

Somebody please repeal the anti-sedition laws, Please! I can't take it anymore. They tell us what to think, what to say, they take our money for the common good which winds up at the UN supporting anti-Americanism everywhere in the world. They take our money to indoctrinate our children in failing schools. You can no longer discuss issues involving favored identity groups. They make regulations as impositions to starting businesses. Freedom in America? Its got to end now. I listen to the neo-marxist left and become so boiling red with anger. You know venting is suppose to make you feel better I never seem to feel better anymore. I guess it would be different if we had a GOP that would stand defiantly against such breeches of the Constitution with the same venomous speech that we hear from Stalins boys on the left but we never hear it, WE NEVER HEAR IT!.

Well in order to be fair, they also need to discourage Gay Rhetoric as well.

We have come so, so far from the days when political speech was considered to be the core of the First Amendment...

Everything that is hidden must be revealed. The depths of the depravity of man must be fully manifested as an eternal historical record of the consequences of sin, disobedience to God, and Satan's true nature unbridled.

You just have to "endure to the end", and then the cleansing fire of the Holy Spirit will purge the Earth of all the effects of sin. Until the Sons of God appear, Christ's perfected remnant church, things will continue to go from bad to worse.

California's Code of Fair Campaign Practices -- an "anti-discrimination" pledge that is given to every candidate for public office.

Signing the pledge is voluntary, but failure to sign it could prove difficult for candidates who might risk being judged "unfair."

What happens if a candidate signs the pledge but fails to uphold every line?

If the pledge become overloaded with issues unrelated to fair campaign practices ("fair" describing actions such as following disclosure and fundraising laws, adhering to the truth, etc.), it will simply become even more meaningless than it is now. I have never noticed whether candidates sign this particular pledge.
