'Moorhead Minnesota, which is in northern Minnesota.'
Compared to Mankato maybe, but Moorhead is pretty close to the center of its western border. I lived across the river, it is not N Mn in location, terrain or custom.

I wasn't commenting on the terrain or customs, but geographical position. Considering that
Brainerd is the geographical center of Minnesota, Moorhead is definitely in the north.
Moorhead(Lat: 46.87 Lon: -96.76) is also farther north geographically than Duluth(Lat: 46.76433 Lon: -92.11416), which is considered to be in northern Minnesota.
