I would have guessed the U.K., not France. But the fact that the frogs are nuclear should concern us. Radical Islamists taking over a nation with nuclear weapons?

I don't even want to think about it.

There's an interesting story in France's departure from NATO. We were humanely urging an incremental or graduated response strategy to any Soviet nuclear attacks on Europe. France wanted total annihilation of their enemies in response; de Gaulle dropped out of NATO over it and said France would defend itself.

The five permanent members of the UN security council are nuclear powers: China, England, France, Russia, United States. France has been a nuclear power since 1960.
